 Open: Meeting began with an opening prayer by Mark Hellman.

 Welcome: We welcome Mark Hellman to the CE committee.  We are all looking forward to working with Mark and getting to know him better.

 Reports:

 Budget - Susan Grandle. 

• Discussions to continue when budget is finalized and reconciled.

Sunday School and Church School – Gena Breck

• Submitted to members by email.  Enrollment numbers for the month of December
• Workshop for incoming Sunday School teachers (4/5 year)
  • Safety and logistics concerns children.  Looking for dates – possibly February

Youth – Mark Hellman

• High School Ski Trip planning.  Dates: January 16 thru January 19
  • Great event for the youth.  Worked hard on fundraising to cover room and board.
  • Parent Information Meeting – January 11 after church services
• Mid-School Event
  • Preliminary planning for a mid-school event in February/March.
• Discussion about long term planning for summer camps for the youth.

Adults – Tracy Geiger

• Discussion about a process for the initiation of new classes by teachers.
  • Information for the CE committee to help promote classes to members and community.
• Discussion for improving attendance.
  • Looking into invitations by word of mouth to written invitations.

Salt & Light – Tracy Geiger

• Things looking great for the 1^st day back in 2009
• Working on finalizing menus and themes for the 2^nd semester.
• Always can use volunteers
  • Shannon – Volunteering to teach again this semester
  • Courtney – Volunteering for recreation.

New Business

• Future Meetings dates and times
  • CE Ministry Team will be meeting on the 2^nd Tuesday of each month at 6:30pm.  Currently looking for available meeting room.

Old Business

• Discipleship Project
  • Seeking to be placed on a future session agenda for an informational presentation about the Discipleship Project.
• Reminder for the Elder’s Retreat on the 24^th of January.
