Reports:
Budget Report – Susan Grandle
A concern was raised about line items for submitted CE budget not seen on Master Budget. Follow up with resubmission and request for line items to be add in order make better monetary decisions.
Sunday School and Church School Classes – Gena Breck
Summer Sunday School will be taught as one class for the younger children. Children involved with Sunday’s mid-service class are released during fellowship which follows the church service. As a team, a decision was made to continue online communication through the Good News and the Lantern instead of separate mailings with the intent to be good monetary stewards. Email to go out to Sunday School teachers. Teachers to communicate change of class title, curriculum, location, etc… to Tracy in order to help promote classes (ie. Sunday’s Bulletin). We have great and committed volunteers and are always looking for more to help out.
Youth – Mark Hellman
The youth have been very busy with a variety of activities. Many thanks from the youth to the members for their generosity and support with their endeavors. Shortly, a Youth Calendar will be published and update as needed. Mark is looking into an online communication for youth and parents with a newsletter style format with contact information (Few hard copies available as well). Youth will continue to meet after the completion of Salt and Light. Day will still be Wednesday; still planning meeting times. Future plans to include Play Dates in the Park and a monthly service project.
Salt and Light – Tracy Geiger
Salt & Light’s last Wednesday night is 4/22. It will be a great celebration. CE members to help in activities. Come and join the fun. CE members to help this Sunday for youth fundraiser lunch after the church service. Kathy Story will be out for 3 weeks (4/1 – 4/15). Martha Mitchell will be substituting. Thank you Martha! Vacation Bible School (VBS) is right around the corner. Looking for volunteers to help with VBS the week of June 8th from 9am – 12pm. Do not need to commit for the full week. The theme is “The Lord’s Prayer”. It’s going to be great!
Old Business:
Discipleship Project –
As part of the plan of action, the document, “The Importance of Adult Spiritual Education”, is to be sent to session members and then request time on ministry team committees for explanation about the Discipleship Project.
New Business:
Goals for Christian Education Ministry Team based on the vision objectives as adopted by Session
Vision objectives
1. To clearly and courageously communicate the Good News of Jesus Christ to all within our reach.

2. To develop spiritual leadership that recognizes and ministers to those in need.
4. To create a God-centered atmosphere for worship that will attract and bind individuals, families, and youth into Christian community.
