MINUTES

April 14, 2009               6:30pm – Jones Hall

 Present: Theresa Armendariz, Gena Breck, Tracy Geiger, Susan Grandle, Mark Hellman, Martha Mitchell, Greg Temple

 Opening: Tracy open with devotion and prayer at 6:30

 Review and Approval of last meeting Minutes: 

No corrections to the last meeting’s minutes

 Budget:

Many thanks to the office for all the hard work on the budget and budget detail.  Budget detail will be given quarterly.  Questions about previous youth funds before Mark came on board.  Mark will follow up.

 Sunday School and Church Classes:

Coordination of communication when changing Sunday school curriculums is needed.  Having lead time will help in promoting upcoming classes.  Concerns that some people will not want to jump into the middle of a class.

 Youth:

Garage sale for raising funds for the mission’s trips was a great success.  Raised over $1000.  Many thanks to those who donated items.  Youth had a wonderful turnout for the Sunrise Service.  Though Salt and Light will be ending, the youth will still be meeting on Wednesday nights starting May 6th. 

 Salt and Light:

April 22 will be the last meeting for Salt and Light.  It will be a great celebration.  Come and join the fun!

 Old Business:

 Discipleship Project:

CE ministry team members visited the other ministry teams to discuss and promote the Discipleship Project.  The CE team is looking to kickoff the project on May 1.  For additional information you can go to

 New Business:
