Congregational Life & Outreach Minutes

June 10, 2008

 Present:  Joyce Gemoets, Rusty Smith, Cindy Tafoya and Donna Farmer 

The meeting opened with prayer.

The committee had two items on the agenda:

1.  After church picnic scheduled for June 29th.  Joyce is going to provide Linda and Tracy with information so that it will be added to the church bulletin and Good News.  Joyce is also sending out personal invites for the newest members of the church (Abe Hernandez, Steve Korschgen, Helen Korschgen, Marill Crouse, Sara Vaughan and Collette Walz).  Donna Farmer will talk with Mike to arrange table and chair set up.  Rusty will do the shopping for dessert (ice cream sandwiches and extra lunches to have on hand).  Drinks will be set up for both fellowship and picnic before church.  Will provide light snacks for those who stay for fellowship but not the picnic.  Lon will be the MC for the event.  Please note Joyce and Katie will be out of town.

2.  Summer Movie Nights to be held on the second and fourth Sunday’s in Watkins Hall.  Joyce made a flyer to post around the church and to be passed out to Children’s Garden and VBS.  Will give info to Tracy and Linda to reserve Watkins Hall, put on calendar, church bulletin and Good News.  Joyce presented a list of possible movies available.  Discussed which movies to use.  

Movie dates will be June 22, July 13, July 27 and Aug 10.

No session action items.

The meeting closed with prayer.
