Congregational Life and Outreach Committee Minutes

October 14, 2008

 Present:  Katie Grandle, Joyce Gemoets, Lon Anderson, Cindy Tafoya

 The meeting opened and closed with prayer.

 Activities discussed were the following:

1.      Christmas Carole/cookie exchange was set for Friday night, 12 December, 7-8 p.m.

a.       CL&O provides hot chocolate.

b.      Each person brings 1 dozen cookies with 12 copies of recipe

c.       Katie volunteered to be song leader

d.      Still need advertising and a piano player

 2.      Approved $100 from special projects fund to support another college group

BBQ, date to be determined.

 3.      Discussed passing the torch on to the new incoming committee members to ensure smooth transition.  Joyce will prepare a short write-up on how to manage the fellowship hour.  We would also recommend a budget for the next year (as a starting point for the newcomers to have something to work with).
