Congregational Life and Outreach Committee Minutes

December 9, 2008

 Present:  Joyce Gemoets, Lon Anderson, Cindy Tafoya, Donna Mathis,

               Carissa Brealey.

 The meeting opened and closed with prayer.

 Activities discussed were the following:

 1. Christmas carole/cookie exchange planned for Friday night, 12 December, 7-8 p.m.  Our committee will show up at 6.  We verified that everyone is good to go on their individual preparation responsibilities.

 2. Joyce provided Carissa a notebook detailing various aspects of the committee to help insure a smooth transition.

 3. We approved the Yellow Pages advertisement.  Even though it has gone up in price, the committee felt that it is one of our most important advertising venues.  The cost would be more than offset by the savings by dropping the Newcomers Connection advertising.
