DEACONS MINISTRY TEAM SPECIAL MEETING (Draft)

Sunday, May 10, 2009, 11:50 a.m.

 PRESENT: Moderator Clint Woodward, Marianne Maley, Rusty Smith, Paul Vaughan, Theresa Armendariz, Winnie Quinzi, Lynn Lawson-Jones, Rosemary Maddox, Ken Osborne, Janice Sherman, and Mike Bartholomew.

 ELECTION OF MODERATOR

Clint advised that he will be leaving within a week to take a job in Albuquerque and it is necessary to elect a new Moderator, preferably to finish out his term or, in the alternative, an Interim Moderator to preside over the next meeting.

 Marianne nominated Rusty Smith from the floor. Rusty indicated he would be willing to serve as Interim Moderator if elected.

 It was therefore MOVED by Marianne Maley, and SECONDED by Janice Sherman, that Rusty Smith be elected Interim Moderator of the Deacons Ministry Team. THE MOTION WAS UNANIMOUSLY APPROVED by those Deacons present.

 The meeting was adjourned to the regular meeting of the Deacons Ministry Team on Thursday, May 21, at 7:00 p.m.
