Ash Wednesday

Join us for a simple meal of chicken soup and bread in Reeves Hall. Cost of the meal is $2.00. Call the church office at 526-5559 to make a reservation.

The worship service will be a simple one of scriptures, music and prayers. Ashes will be used to mark the worshipper's forehead with a cross as a reminder of human mortality and our salvation in Jesus Christ.

New Circle for PW!

Evening Circle met for the first time, Wednesday, January 24, with five women who are eager to take part in PW. The next meeting will be Wednesday, February 21 at 7:00 PM in the parlor in Reeves Hall. After that, the meetings will be on the fourth Wednesday of the month at 7:00 PM. Please join us! The Coordinating Team will meet on Tuesday, February 20 at 9:00 AM to assemble "Easter Care Packages" for the college students.

Youth-led Worship Service

It’s another chance to praise God in worship with a blend of various instruments and voices! With guitars, drums and flutes - and Howard on the organ - leadership for the service will be provided by our youth. John Poling will be preaching.

Fellowship Groups

 

Vine and Branches

This fellowship group of parents and couples meets monthly for a variety of activities - sometimes with children, sometimes without. This month, they will have a Post-Presidents Day Party for adults and children in Watkins Hall on February 24 at 5:00 PM. We'll have a potluck supper and play games. Please RSVP to Brian or Becky McPherson (541-0892).

In-Betweeners

This month the guys have planned a "Sweetheart Sunday Brunch" for their gals. We'll meet at Picacho Hills Country Club on February 25 at 12:30 for an all-inclusive brunch. Cost is $16.00 per person. Make reservations with Mell Peterson (523-2926) or Jim Parks (526-8180). In March, Harry Beckett will provide an evening of entertainment. Watch the bulletins and the March Lantern for details

Desert Cruisers

This fellowship group of retired people (singles and couples) enjoys a delicious potluck lunch together each month - and anyone is invited! This month's gathering will be on February 26 at noon. Ann Graham and Margaret Hardin will present the program entitled "A Woman in the Bible". Please bring your own table service and your favorite dish!
