Advent Course
God in the Flesh
Nov. 30, Dec. 7, 14, 21
John Poling, teacher
During Jesus time, people depended heavily on spoken communication. His words and stories were intended to be told and retold and it was this retelling that shaped the life and worship of early Christians.
This Advent course uses the first cassette of the video, Jesus of Nazareth, which portrays the events leading up to and including the birth, childhood and early ministry of Jesus. We are able to hear the living challenge of the Gospel spoken by a living person.

Presbyterians have long celebrated the birth of Jesus Christ by giving generously to the Christmas Joy Offering. As we celebrate with joy our unity in Gods family, we are providing tangible support to persons
in our community of faith.
The receipts from this offering are distributed to the Board of Pensions (50 percent) to support assistance programs and to the Committee on Higher Education (50 percent) to support the Presbyterian racial ethnic schools and colleges.
You are invited to participate in telling the Good News of Jesus Christ by giving generously to this offering. It will be collected on December 21 and 24.
