Fellowship Groups

Vine & Branches is a fellowship group of parents and young couples that meets monthly for a variety of activities - sometimes with children, sometimes without. Plan to join us on Sunday, April 19, when we meet after worship for lunch at the Dynasty. Also in April, Vine & Branches plans to host a break during the Presbytery meeting on the weekend of April 24-25.

In-Betweeners is a fellowship group of "empty nesters" (singles and couples) that meets each month for different activities. They also go out to lunch on the third Sunday of each month. Watch the Sunday bulletin for the April activity.

Desert Cruisers is a group of retired people (singles and couples) that meets on the fourth Monday of the month at noon in Reeves Hall. Everyone is welcome to join us for a time of fellowship, potluck lunch and program on April 27. A look at PC(USA) mission work on the Navajo Reservation at Kayenta and Dennehotso, Arizona and Oljato, Utah will be presented by Marcus Burr. Please bring a dish to share and your own table service. Call Frances and Carl Shuster for more information at 522-2504.

It’s Spring - and time for Softball!!

The FPC co-ed softball team had a successful season last year and we’re looking forward to another fun year!

This is a great way to get some exercise, enjoy Christian fellowship, and meet people from other churches.

A few good men and several good women are needed on the team! Experience is helpful, but not necessary. Call Art Garcia (527-5345) for more information.

The BRIDGE

Presbyterian & Disciples Campus Ministry at NMSU

2511 Chaparral Street

522-6404

David Sallee, Campus Minister

Question: Does the BRIDGE Campus Ministry close in the summer? Why Not?

Answer: No, the BRIDGE Campus Ministry reaches out in the summer to incoming freshmen at five orientations. We correspond with all our affiliated churches in New Mexico and the El Paso area requesting information on new and returning students. We write to all of our students and send a special Christian orientation magazine to new students. We continue an abbreviated version of our program and plan for the next fall. NMSU has 3,000 students in the summer and the Community College has 1000 students. David Sallee, campus minister, takes most of his vacation, study leave and sabbatical time in the summer.
