It is the only resource that explores our denomination’s mission commitments overseas and in the United States and serves as a daily prayer book at the same time. Per Capita Apportionment

Every church in the Presbyterian Church (USA) is apportioned a share of the expenses of the presbytery, the synod, and the General Assembly for ecclesiastical purposes. The apportionment is based on church membership. The amount varies with the needs of these entities and is a regular annual expense payable by our church. The amount to be paid this year per communicant member is $18.00. Offering envelopes for this purpose are in the sanctuary pews.

THANKS

Deacons’ Christmas Outreach

The Deacons and the staff at Mesilla Valley Hospice wish to extend a big thank you to our congregation for the outpouring of gifts and care recently given to grieving families! The following note was received from a Hospice worker:

Dear Carol & Members of the Congregation,

Thank you so very much for the time and effort and your generosity you gave so selflessly to provide our patients and families with so much for Christmas. You have touched the lives of many with your loving kindness. We are grateful for your support.

 Kerygma Class:

A Stimulating Midweek Bible Study

Thursday afternoons;

3:30-5:00 PM in Jones Hall

This is a good time to join this class! Using a thematic approach to learn about the people, events and books of the Bible, the teacher, Rev. Al Kissling, a retired Presbyterian minister and Bible scholar, will encourage your appreciation of God’s work with his people thoughout the centuries. Plan to visit the class and give this study a try!
