Loman joins executive board 

      Janet Loman, a member of the First Presbyterian Church, has been elected to the Executive Board of the Presbyterian Association of Musicians (PAM), the national Presbyterian organization for leadership in the areas of worship, music, the arts, and professional concerns. During her three-year term, Loman will serve as an advisor during the bi-annual board meetings in Louisville, Kentucky and as a representative to the music and worship conferences which are held each summer in Montreat NC, New Willmington, PA, and Albuquerque.

      Since 1998 Loman has been active in the Albuquerque PAM conference as a member of two planning committees, a member of the the faculty , and as a performer. She is on the planning committee for the 2002 Albuquerque Conference, which will take place July 14-19.

      The conference includes seminars on all aspects of music and the arts in worship. Faculty members come from all areas of the U.S. The theme for the 2002 Albuquerque conference is: The Community in Worship.

      Janet has been a member of First Presbyterian Church for 30 years, and was organist for 16 years. She is currently on the faculty at New Mexico State University, where she teaches organ, harpsichord, and core music classes.
