March 11, 2008

Members present: Alice Cooper, Doris Morgan, Wayne Maley, Kelly Temple, Norm Story, Jacque Parks, Jim Parks, Lynn Jones, Marsha Topley, Howard Smolleck,    Guest: Gary Gemoets                                                                                                                                                     

Meeting began with Scripture and prayer at 7:05 p.m.                                                                                                                                             

Old Business: Choir robes have been ordered. Microphones still need to be ordered. Maundy Thursday service was discussed with guest Gary Gemoets. Music interludes were discussed and arranged within the play, The Lord’s Supper. The service will begin at 6:30p.m. on Thursday, March 20. Communion will be served by intinction.                                                                                                                                                           

New Business: Kelly has ordered new music for the choir- two new arrangements. Harry Beckett will participate in worship on March 30. Gregory and Greg Sherman will accompany him.  A request has been received by the moderator of this committee to obtain an unused communion set for service to a church in Mexico. The inquiry was referred to Steve Loman.  Norm again discussed his desire to have a ruling elder fill the pulpit during his absence. He would instruct the elder in sermon building and would supply any other help needed.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        

The meeting was adjourned at 7:35 p.m. by prayer.
