Meeting   February 10, 2009

Devotional by Marianne Maley, Life’s goal should be to grow in character, in Christ’s Likeness.

 Team members listed these as memorable experiences of past Lenten times:

Wednesday soup lunches, with a study time; meditation booklet based on writings of Henry Nouan; Lenten breakfasts, with short study; nail pin with ribbon; Ash Wednesday service followed by weekly Wednesday study times; Maundy Thursday communion while seated at long family tables; authentic seder dinners.; 

 No changes to minutes of January 13 meeting   

 There were 230 communion participants on 02-01-00

 Worship services and activities from Ash Wednesday, February 25 thru Easter April 12, discussed and supported, included these: Salt and Light family experience with Trudells on Ash Wednesday; April communion shifted from Sunday (5^th) to Maundy Thursday (9^th), served by intinction, a Good Friday gathering; possible youth sponsored sunrise service, followed by breakfast cooked by men of the church.  

Organ maintenance is scheduled February 12.  Esther Smolleck will oversee children’s activity bags, an assistant needs to be appointed.  We will continue to investigate realignment of bell tables and work to remove the recording pedestal prior to Easter.  

 At the Choir Clinic on Saturday (14^th) team members will help with welcoming guests and our choir members. They will host a reception for guests following the Sunday afternoon organ concert (15^th)

The meeting was closed at 8:00 PM with prayer.
