Christian Education Program Director
Michelle Osborne
Michelle Osborne was born in 1969, and raised in Orange County, California where she attended the Tustin Presbyterian Church. She joined the U.S. Air Force to work on computers in 1990. After the Air Force, she worked in office administration. She then resumed college and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from New Mexico State University in 1997.
In 1999, she married Ken, and was blessed with two wonderful step children, Kenna and Michael. She worked as a medical/surgical floor nurse at Memorial Medical Center, helping patients and their families for 5 years. She then became a nurse manager at an internal medicine physician’s office.
She is now working part time at First Presbyterian Church. Her primary goal is to promote our church’s mission development through the support and expansion of our S&L and VBS youth programs with new families and children. To begin a process of discovery and understanding, she plans to explore different approaches by looking at larger churches in surrounding Presbyteries to see how our programs can benefit. Her secondary goal is to increase the volunteerism and participation of the membership. Her tertiary goal is to enrich her spiritual leadership development by becoming better versed in reformed theology, principles and practices of Christian Education, curriculum and Presbyterian policies. She will also make contacts and build connections with other Presbyterian Christian educators.
She will be working in the church office on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and Wednesday afternoons and evenings for the Salt & Light program.
