Salt & Light Team minutes

Feb. 12, 2008

Present:  Jacque Parks, Judith Ames, Don Rhodes, Peggy White, Kathy Story, Rev. Norm Story, Beth Borchert-Thomas, Tracy Geiger, and Adele LaVerne.

Kathy Story opened with a prayer.

Minutes of the last meeting were approved.

Old Business:  Budget review and accepted.

New Business: 

·        Discussed duties of the table parents. Suggestions need to be given to Tracy.

·        The Salt and Light checkbook will no longer be. The funds for Salt and Light will be kept as a line item within the Church budget. This process should cause fewer mistakes, less work for Kathy, and help us to keep a better eye on our money. It will not affect our fundraising and collection of tuition. This was unanimously approved by those board members who were present.

Feb. 20 – One Great Hour of Sharing - President’s Day

          Tommy Matkin will talk to the children about the fish bank.

          We will also have OGHS placemats.

          Mid-School worship skills time will be changed.

Feb. 27 – Dinner and a Movie, paper products (cups, plastic

knives, forks and spoons) will be used.

Date for our next meeting:  March 11 at 6 pm.
