The SessionA ship is an early Christian symbol for a congregation of Christians. The Session is the elected body from the congregation whose purpose is to guide this particular ship as we seek to follow Jesus Christ into the unknown future. The Session is the primary governing body of the congregation and is composed of six elders who are elected by the congregation for a three year term. They are responsible for the total mission of the church, including all other organizations in the congregation. Specifically they have the following areas of responsibility: stewardship; church property; Christian education; evangelism; and worship. Other areas of responsibility have been delegated to the Deacons. Current Session members are: Howard Barkley, Reggie Wise, Pat Devine, Marilyn McComb, Judy Pingel, and Elmer Norris. |
