REPEATERS
GARS shares three linked repeaters and one remote base.
1) A 146.98 (-) Mhz repeater with identification K5GAR and a PL tone of 103.5. This repeater is located on Black Peak in the Pinos Altos range and is owned by GARS. Pictures of site
2) A 147.38 (+) Mhz repeater with identification K5GAR and a Pl tone of 103.5. This repeater is located on Frisco Divide between Reserve and Luna, NM and is owned by GARS. Pictures of site.
REMOTE BASE
2) A 448.05 (-) Mhz repeater (requires a 100 cycle PL tone) with identification K5GAR.
3) A 2 meter remote base at the Black Peak site controlled by the 448.05 repeater.
AUTOPATCH
The 146.98 (-) repeater is linked through an autopatch to the Silver City telephone exchange. Access is available only to members. For more information on the use of the autopatch, please contact one of the officers.
Grant County Search and Rescue will have priority use of all GARS facilities during Search and Rescue emergency operations.
