Text Box: While learning the Taekwondo skills like punches, blocks, kicks, and self defense techniques that will enable them to join the white belt children’s class after four to eight months, your child will work on the life skills of Attention, Discipline, Respect, Focus, Courtesy, Cooperation, Balance, and Confidence. Children this age generally take very well to sparring and may want to compete at tournaments. They also easily learn to apply their skills in self defense to protect themselves from falls and bullies. We have had more reports of 3 to 6 year olds using their Taekwondo to save themselves from harm than any other age. The children also learn the valuable skills of respecting and working with teachers and classmates. Self confidence is quickly increased as this may be the first time that your child learns a skill that their friends and family don’t know. Is your child ready for the class? We won’t know until they try. Some kids seem overwhelmed for their first month then settle down and begin to participate fully in class. Recommendations for Parents: If your child is nervous about class, take the pressure off by telling them that they have to watch class and not participate, then stay for the entire class. Threats like “either go to class or we are going home” never seem to help. Some kids have watched three or more classes before they felt ready to join the group and then had no more trouble with nervousness. Some kids are very nervous about putting on the uniform. If this happens to your child, let them wear the uniform around the house before class, if possible.

o  Mon./Wed. 5:30 to 6:00.

o  Tues./Thurs 3:00-3:30

o Wed./Fri. 5:00-5:30

make up missed classes.

 

We have three payment choices:

 

o Pay at the School $49 a month

o Pay Electronically (EFT) $42 a month

o Pay Quarterly $135 for three months

 

NMSU DISCOUNT students and faculty 10% off.

 

FAMILY DISCOUNTS The second and third member of the family each cost 1/2 of regular price, $20 a month each additional family member.
