Cobre High School is a High School in the Southwestern part of New Mexico located in the town of Bayard, New Mexico. It services many small communities that originated as mining towns. Towns such as Hurley, Bayard, Fierro, Vanadium, Arenas Valley, Fort Bayard, Mimbres, San Juan, San Lorenzo and Santa Clara. The diversity of the student body makes it a very special school. I was fortunate enough to attend the School between the years of 1971 and 1974. During the time I attended it was a three year high school.
