We (Joe Quintana - Class of 1981 and Carlos Quinones - Class of 1979) are interested in establishing a need-based scholarship or scholarships for future Cobre High School graduates. We recently discussed how the support of at least one individual can directly contribute to our success. Many of us can directly attribute our success to the words of encouragement of a teacher, coach, counselor, family member, neighbor, or other individual.
As the alumni group we can provide some of those words of encouragement as well as some financial assistance to future graduates of Cobre High School. In this small way we can give back to others as was done for many of us.
