Marie Long was supposed to have quite a bit of Native American blood. She died from the bird flu or plague around 1917, give or take a year. She died when my grandma Brandenburg was very young but had two other siblings born to John and Marie. John Edens died in Yakima,WA, after having lived in Cleelum, WA. He was remarried to a Blanche Yuri who told me that she was related to the Hatfields of the Hatfield and McCoy wars. John Edens was in the military and served in El Paso, TX. I am interested in how much Indian Marie Long had in her.
