Senior Health

Senior pets undergo age changes in organs and tissues just the same as elderly humans. Older animals can develop severe dental disease as they increase in age. It is well known that older animals have a higher incidence of major organ failure, benign and malignant tumors, arthritis, and loss of special senses. A comprehensive evaluation performed on a regular basis is the best way to detect diseases or to find increased risk factors of diseases in senior patients. It has been documented that many chronic disorders and diseases seen in older pets can be medically controlled, and in some cases, resolved if detected early enough.
