1993-1999 White Sands School Las Cruces Public Schools (LCPS) Certified Teacher- Secondary Mathematics § Taught multi-level math instruction for 7th and 8th graders including pre-algebra, honors algebra I, honors algebra II and honors geometry. § Successfully piloted two mathematics curriculum units increasing student scores in problem solving and in computational skills. § Developed and coordinated a building math educators’ network wherein collegiality and instructional plans for whole building instructional transition could develop. § Awarded an Action Research Grant focusing on the development of 8th grade mentors working with 2nd grade math and science activities. § Active member of NMCTM.
