T.J. & Lisa's 1995 Caprice 9C1

[A picture of our white 1995 Caprice]

Best ET: 15.875 @ 87.75mph in stock trim

This is our 1995 Caprice, with the 9C1 SEO (police configuration) package option. We bought it used with 81,660 miles, after it had done service with the Plano (TX) PD as unit #152. It's still pretty much stock, but lightly modded.

Chevrolet built these cars with the purpose of being a nimble, high-speed police interceptor. From the heavy-duty components and the 260 HP Corvette-derived LT1 V8 to the heavy-duty suspension complete with factory Bilstein shocks and 4-wheel ABS disc brakes, they succeeded.

Here's a link to a Plano PD pic of three patrol cars. The Caprice in the middle could have been ours - who knows?

Local Clubs and Meets

National Clubs and Other B-Body Links of Interest

This will not be an all-inclusive link list of every single B-Body resource on the Web. I tried that before with my old scanner page and found that it quickly becomes a full-time chore.

National Association of Impala SS Owners (NAISSO)

The oldest national '94-'96 Impala SS organization. They have their own Impala SuperStore, technical articles, and even a mailing list.

Impala SS Club of America (ISSCA)

The newest national Impala SS club, catering to all '91-'96 GM B-bodies.

International GM B-Body Association (IGBA)

Encompasses all variations of the '91-up B-Body platform, including Caddies, Buicks, and the wagons. (The customized wagons look damn cool!)

Rob Cheek's Impala SS Page

Contains an Impala FAQ and technical archives. A definite must-read for any B-body owner.

The Caprice Police Package Information Source

A good source for 9C1-specific information. Also contains information on how to subscribe to the mailing list. (Warning to Netscape users - the code on this site does some funky things to the formatting!)

B-Body Discussion on GMForums.com

An online discussion area encompassing several B-body discussion forums - from performance to styling to the 9C1. Also covers the older 'boxy'-style cars ('77-'90).
