Bush's Dorky Debate Performance

In watching Bush debate John Kerry in the first presidential debate in
this election, you may have found your attention wandering to questions
like "What is wrong with Bush - what does he look so lost and bent out
of shape?" While Kerry seemed in charge and enjoying himself,
Bush had a constant body language theme summed up in one work --
dork! Supporter or not, you were faced with his goofy facial
expresssion, his twisted body posture, he overly tight lips, the angry
and immature scowls at Kerry and a general demeanor which declared a
discomfort with criticism of any kind.
Bush's substance was as bad as his style - goofy once again. He proved
to the nation once again that he does not know the difference between
Saddam Hussein and Osama bin Laden. He proved that he has only a
high-schooler grasp of language when he mocked Kerry's use of the term
"global test." And with what he ignored, he proved that he does
not give a damn about the cruel exploitation of young soldiers for his
crass political ambitions.
For the right-wing Christian nutjobs on the radio who preach that Bush
is a born-again God-fearing man that was installed into the White House
by the Lord Himself, one might ask why nothing he says or does ever
comes close to the words and actions of Jesus. It was Kerry, not Bush,
who spoke for the aged and those needing medical care and for truly
helping the soldiers -- not Bush.
Kerry won the debate because Bush's true self was seen by millions of
voters. If we get to see more of the man behind the disguise, he
will be toast by election day.
