Warning Description: Special Weather Statement

Warning Date: 7:35 am MST on February 9, 2010

WarningSum:...Winter Storm To Move To The Area Wednesday Afternoon...

Warning Message:An upper low over the California coast will move to northern
Mexico Wednesday night. Rain showers and high elevation snow will
begin west of Deming Wednesday afternoon and spread to the
remainder of the area Wednesday night and Thursday morning. Some
thunderstorms are possible Wednesday afternoon and evening. The
upper low will move to The Big Bend of Texas early Thursday
evening and allow our area to begin clearing out. 
Heavy snow is possible over the mountain areas...with the best
shot at heavy snow Wednesday night and Thursday morning. Snow
levels Wednesday afternoon will be around 7500 feet and drop to
around 5500 feet Thursday morning. A few lowland areas such as
Sierra...Otero and Hudspeth could see a mixture of rain and snow
Thursday morning...but little or no accumulation is expected. 
Persons should listen to NOAA Weather Radio and local media
outlets for further weather updates on the impending storm.
