Philosophy:

In order to provide the best education possible for each student, we (school board, administration, staff, parents, children, and the Las Cruces Catholic community) must all work together to ensure that the school is continually growing and improving both academically and spiritually.

About Dr. Trujillo

Dr. Trujillo, the principal of Las Cruces Catholic School has returned to lead our school with pride. Last year she came here and accomplished goals that had once been faint dreams for the school. One of the dreams was a new playground. By the end of the year with help from parents, she produced a grant from Price's Creamery. Then when school started again a new playground awaited students. Some of her goals this year include: "balancing the buget, increasing the schools catholic identity, providing a strong academic program, and spreading the word about our school."

This year she said " I felt God was leading me here and it is nice to work nearer to my children." Dr. Trujillo has enrolled her children her for three years. And she has a personal intrest in their education. She is also excited with the personal challenge of expanding our school to its limits, including a high school.

As principal Dr. Trujillo has a though job of finalizing schedules, approving orders, sceduling fundraisers, and making other decisions. She also takes the time to see how the teachers are teaching and see how the students are faring. She says the toughest parts of being a principal is getting the work done. It is also hard going home and leave her work on her desk. Dr. Trujillo is a very dedicated principal that has high hopes for our school.
