NEW: WAGES AND BENEFITS:


· $3,000 sign on bonus with 36 month commitment

· $15.50 per hour; $2,686.66 per month (pending council approval)

· $17.05 per hour ($35,464.00 annual) as an Officer Trainee upon successful completion and

graduation of Police Academy (pending council approval)

· $19.47 per hour ($40,497.81 annual) after successful completion of one year probationary

status as an Officer Trainee.

· Optional benefits after 30 days of employment in the Police Academy include health,

dental, vision, life, disability, and long-term care

· 20 year retirement plan through the Public Employers Retirement Association

· Other benefits: take home car program; four day work schedule; service weapon,

ballistic vest and uniforms provided.
