The Whole Enchilada Fiesta Tournament
September 30 - October 2, 2005
Pictures of Infamous Referees
This is a start on a tradition to record our favorite times on the soccer fields. Anyone who wishes to add to the historical record can contact Andrew Bristol at abristol47@msn.com and he will try to create a web page of significant events. You will need to send photos by email with appropriate captions that you would like to add. Here is an example of the one started for the Whole Enchilada Fiesta Tournament for 2005. Don't believe that referees are on the field all the time. Each one deserved their break for the day. "Referees are only human" is a quote used all the time. This is true when it comes to being camera shy. Maybe next year I can get more action shots. Matthew's game and Sandra's game were the only ones I got to before duties called. On Saturday games went on into the night and we were dog tired. There was relief on Sunday by those High School referees that could not make Saturday games.
We had a lot of help from the El Paso Referee Association. Those that were able to make it were Stefany Andujo, Freddy Andrade, Neddie Cora, Jose Contreras, Raul Flores, Sandra Hernandez, Jack Jaime, Danny Perez, Martha Rivas, and Harry Stone. Dane Spearing from Los Alamos was the other out-of-town referee that help make the tournament a success.
