Las Cruces Soccer Referee Association General Meeting
August 14, 2011
Jose Briones called the meeting to order at 7:08PM. Minutes not posted from last
month’s meeting.
Frank Moreno, the president of LCYSL, talked for quite a while about scheduling.
The league has purchased the ARBITER software, and all scheduling will be done
through this program. Erik Tuchfarber of the LCYSL will be the assignor.

The league wants to discourage the scoring from kickoffs in the U6 and U8
divisions. Restart will be a goal kick.
Referees will still be paid at the monthly meeting. U5 – U8 teams will supply 1

MVSL: Dominic: Chris Cooksey is now the treasurer for MVSL.
Robert Gage: High School meeting on Aug 22, 2011.
Treasurer report: Gary Manley reported $3,064 in checking and $3,000 in the CD.
Bill Lindemann will still be the assignor for the MVSL.
Tom Duttle: AR’s need to be in contact with the center referee if being abused.
Handle it on the field. Don’t bad mouth other referees. Tournament in
Albuquerque in September.
Recertification clinic in December.

Joe Fleming: Sept 25 after game party for referees and guests.

Called to order at 6:35 PM.
Joseph Fleming discussed his idea for a LCSRA Tailgate party after a NMSU
women’s Soccer match. Sunday, September 25th was agreed to as a good choice.
Lisa Willman motioned for $300.00 of LCSRA funds be used for food and $100.00
for tickets. Ray Burchfield seconded the motion, motion carried.
Discussion about scheduling; since the league is doing the scheduling, there
really is no more contract between LCSRA and LCYSL any more. We need a league
representative at our monthly meetings.
Only 6 attended the Grade 8 clinic, 2 of which were upgrades. Tom and Rick will
instruct the Grade 9 clinic.
Motion to donate acknowledgement for Chris Cooksey, who keeps the MVSL running
smoothly. Bill L. asked for $ in addition. Tabled.
