Las Cruces Soccer Referee Association General Meeting

Date: May 14, 2008

Call to Order at 7:00 p.m. by President Andy Bristol.

Approval of the Minutes for the General Meeting of April 9, 2008, was motioned by Hannah Rheay and second by Jose Briones.

Treasure Report: Gary Manley was not present for a report. Checks will be distributed at the end of the meeting.

High Noon Soccer League Report: Monty Wellborn's will not be on the board much longer.  Luke Hollomon is taking his position.

Assessor: Monty Wellborn did not have announcements.

Mesilla Valley Soccer League Report: Bill Lindemann announced that a lightning tournament will be held Sunday, May18 to raise money for Juan Juarez.  Juan was injured in a recent game and has a lot of hospital expenses.  Referees were asked to donate their time so more money could be given for Juan's expenses.  There is a new Referee Agreement form for all referees that do adult games.  You must sign one and return to Bill Lindemann before you will have anymore assigned games.

Assignor - Jose Diosdado thanked everyone for their cooperation.  There is a 3v3 tournament at the end of the month, May 31.  Contact Jose and let him know if you are available.

State District Referee Administrator Remarks- Gary Manley was not present.

High School Referee Report: Robert Gage discussed the new level of games for Middle Schools in the Gadsden District.  High School students may become High School referees to do these games.  The pay is $25 per game.  New referees can apply at the August Training class.

Announcement: Bill LiIndemann stated that the checks to pay for State Cup games would be sent to the High Noon office.  The LCSRA will have a posting when these checks are available for pick-up.

Training was conducted by Douglas Hoffman. Dealing with Injuries.

Drawing: No drawing this month because Gloria Marquez, who holds the tickets, was not present.  She was at the Mayfield Awards Ceremony to present the 2008 Riedel Scholarship to Seth Gilpin.
