Dimitris Lyacos
was born in Athens in 1966. His trilogy Poena Damni (Z213: Exit, Nyctivoe, The First Death) written over the course of fifteen years, has been translated into English, Spanish, Italian and German and has been performed extensively across Europe and the USA. A sound and sculpture installation of Nyctivoe opened in London and toured Europe in 2004-2005. A contemporary theatre-dance performance based on the same book showed in Greece in 2006-2007. Lyacos' work has been the subject of lectures and research at various universities, including Amsterdam,Trieste and Oxford.Various extracts from the trilogy have appeared in literary journals around the world. Bruce Noll
is a transplant to New Mexico from the northern plains. North Dakota, Minnesota and South Dakota were homes to him for a few decades.
"Nature has always been my solace and themes and images from earth and
its many life forms appear in my writing. I am an amateur entomologist,
an avid hiker, a university professor and a lover and interpreter of the
work of Walt Whitman. I've presented my program, PURE GRASS, a dramatic
interpretation of Leaves of Grass, in 23 states in the last several
years (and two performances in Iceland in July of 2001). I also am on the
NMEH Chautauqua Program and present "Walt Whitman's America" around the
state.
Noll's poems have appeared in an assortment of periodicals in recent
years such as the Journal of the American Medical Association, Christian
Century, HMS Beagle, The American Entomologist, South Dakota Magazine
and Nebraska Life.
Christopher Nye
holds a Ph. D. in American Studies from the University of New Mexico, studied playwriting on a Fulbright at University of Bristol in England, has taught freshman English, literature, creative writing, and other courses.
