Freedom is a light
morning after winter's darkest night.
I've sat on the edge,
my demons thrashing, burning down my bed.
I will be free.
Wings of light will lift and carry me.
I will be free.
No one will keep me from flying free.
These chains, --old as rust,
bound by fear-- I will smash them to dust.
Graphic Art, "Between Two Worlds," by Louis Ocepek
I hear dawn's call.
Its light shines on these dark and ancient walls.
They can't keep me here.
Strong as time, I will not fear.
I will be free.
Wings of light will lift and carry me.
I will be free.
No one will keep me from flying free.
