So here I stand, manless,
and blind with envy.
Oblivious to the fact
I'm not friendless.
My best friend still
waits for me
At nights before I lay it down.
I look at a picture
where he stands
like an untamed gorilla,
next to a Caddy
Although jazz may
be charming
dark still creeps under
my eyelids.
The substantial nightmare
lingers as the cellos fade.
Everyone stares at me as if
I am the one that is crazy,
But I am not the one
with eyes glued to TV sets,
OR fingers and thumbs
stuck to joy sticks or gameboys,
