        Memoria al reves

        (tra’da) try i do
        to recall the sequential
        phrases
        de los detalles que recuerdoÉ
        when being eight was
        as being two,
        y al tener veinte a–os,
        igual-
        all mere cotton pauses
        along the reversed
        conversation- grabada
        dentro de la ilusi—n
        que llevan las palabras-
        (org’a de letras)
        with my yellowed memory

        Rug-burn underneath my eyelids

        places,
and the space which i have drawn
and painted and adorned with ink-

location is the word for god-

        blindness never reaches
        its sense of lacking vision-

        sore, stained areas
        constructed of wooden tears
        forever melting,
        forever self-controlling
        Entrapment.

        ingredient substitute for
        a misplaced thought (just one)-

        planes, quemados and in need
        of memoir redemptionÉ
this, as i impose the identity,
        hovering beneath my eyelids,
        scratched and scarred.
