Training
.
My son Curtis Moore on a 3
year old filly with just less than 2 weeks training. She was rolling
back, stopping, and backing with just the rope around her neck, and all
with a soft touch.

front page.
Curt now works for the BLM in the
wild horse program.
When
it comes to training, I would prefer to train the person rather than the
horse, for the simple reason that if the person is trained they won't need
me every time the horse is taught a bad habit, because they won't be teaching
them any new bad habits. My hair is very gray from trying to teach some
people, but it has to be done. It is better to teach you to
watch out for causes of bad accidents, before they actually happen.
I like the word pleasure. I also like horses to be exactly that.
A pleasure!!! Once your horse learns to respond properly and with
kindness you can relax and enjoy him then go on to advanced training, in
whatever events you like.
I have
actually had ( for lack of a better word ) dummies come running up to my
horses on more than one occasion with their arms up and out to hug my horse,
and yelling how much they love horses, and the horse is scared to death,
and in the past would leave in a hurry, but now my horses will stand for
it, and yours can to.
