The Sandia Mountains east of Albuquerque.

The Sangre de Cristo Mountains near Santa Fe.

The road to Los Alamos and White Rock leads past the rugged Jemez Mountains.

These were formed from volcanic ash.

Behind me is the city of Los Alamos. I am standing in an area that was destroyed in the fire of 2000.

A few pine trees are starting to grow again.

Experts predict that it will take 150 years for this forest to grow back.

Gary pointing out the landmarks.

We drove up to the ski area, there is one run to the right of the Aspen tree.

We were about one week too late to see the Aspen in full color.

Coming down the hill the city of Los Alamos spreads out over several mesas.

The snow is just beginning to fall on the Sangre de Cristo Mountains
