My brother, Dave and I, drove up to the foothills of the Organ Mountains.  I had to show him that they are not just barren rocks. This is the view from the parking area of Dripping Springs State Park.

The beginning of our hike towards the cave that was inhabited by a hermit.

We stop and photograph the varied foliage.

A pictograph painted on the outside of a cave.

Dave at the mouth of the small cave.

The view from the cave, as we head back toward the car.

Looking at the Park Ranger Station further up the canyon.

Back at the car.  The lighting was just beautiful as the sun was setting on the west mesa behind us.
