Ground zero from the air

Trinitite was formed when the sand melted

The windmill near the McDonald Farm where the plutonium core was assembled.

Coral and mountains to the east of the farm.

The farm house is 2 miles from ground zero. Surprisingly, only the windows in the house were shattered.

Side yard

The barns and othere buildings

The view facing south

From inside the house.

Mountains to the south

A storm was brewing as we left Trinity Site.

Heading south we drove into a fierce dust and rain storm.

Visibility was really low - luckily we drove out of the storm fairly quickly.
