The church captured our attention when we first walked into the middle of Alamo Village, a movie set built from 1957-59 for John Wayne's "The Alamo".

One of the haciendas on the main street.

Pistol Packing Paula entertained and instructed the crowd on proper gun care. WWAC World Champion Gun Spinner.

Lots of people were in "town" for the 46th Labor Day Celebration.

The parson's house next to the church.

Another view of the parsonage.

Turning the corner we saw another part of the village to explore.

A tavern

and bar.

Another village street. At times it was hard to remember that this was a movie set - it all seemed to real.

A view of the church from a side street.

Inside the bank.

The bankers living quarters

For lunch we feasted on some of the best Bar-B-Que I have ever tasted!

A gunfight in the streets.

The countryside.
