Instructional Technology Specialist, Comal ISD
2004 - present, New Braunfels, TX
Technology integration specialist for Comal ISD. Currently working with
two elementary schools mentoring teachers in the Mac OSX, new perphial
devices and software: Elmo, CPS, Interwirte, Smartboards, eBeam, Chalkboards,
Mobi, Proscopes, LoggerLite, Eduphoira, StudyWiz and etc. Provides district
curriculum support for technology integration of web based programs, these
include:
United Streaming, Study Island, Easy Tech, Tech Connect, and many
other programs. Provide in-depth summer staff development in the area of
technology integration for all district employees. Work closely with all
schools to update their campus improvement and technology plans. In the
past provided professional development opportunities and acted as district
liaison for Fine Arts teachers, including Visual Art, Music and Theatre

Technology Mentor, Educational Service Center XIII
2003 to 2004, Austin, TX
Technology and curriculum mentor to ten (10) sixth grade social studies
teachers and seven librarians. These teachers and their school librarians
are participating in the TARGET grant coordinated by ESC13. The grant
is focusing on using online subscription databases and technology to enhance
the sixth grade social studies curriculum. The students are learning how
to use the Big 6 research process. (http://big6.com) Districts that mentored
include: Blanco ISD, Harper ISD, Eanes ISD, Lake Travis ISD, Navarro ISD,
Thrall ISD, and Prairie Lea ISD. |
Clinical Faculty, Learning Technology Program
1998 to 2002, New Mexico State University, Las Cruces, NM
Taught educational technology and multimedia courses to graduate and
undergraduate students. Assisted faculty in integrating technology into
teacher education courses. Courses developed and taught:

Tech-Mentor with the Preparing Tomorrow's Teachers Today (PT3) Grant. Provide

and Web CT (web-based course tools). Mentor faculty on strategies used
to integrate technology into their course curricula and other multimedia

Technology Coordinator and Professional Development Trainer,
1999 to 2002, Southwest Regional Cooperative Center X (SWRCC),
Truth or Consequences, NM
Provided professional development in technology and curriculum integration
assistance for member school districts in the SWRCC: Animas, Lordsburg,
Hatch, Reserve and Truth or Consequences School Districts through Title
II funding. Model instructional strategies and classroom management techniques
for using technology in classroom for teachers in the K-12 environment.
Developed and maintain the SWRCC web page. Assisted two school districts
in writing Technology Learning Challenge Fund grants (TLCF) for a total
of $240,000.00. Developed and maintained grant reporting web pages
for the school districts to assist them in filing grant reports to NM’s
SDE.
