San Juan
River Trip

Plans for our autumn fishing trip to the San Juan have been finalized. The Club is furnishing guides for Saturday 3rd. The number of guides used will depend on the demand. One guide will be able to handle 6 anglers and two guides twelve. If you wish to fill one of the slots notify George Thomas (575) 532-5614. The cost will be $50 each + tip. The Club is paying the remainder of the costs. If you plan on using a guide the club must know by the 15th of September in order to make the arrangements. We will have a potluck dinner on the night of Friday the 2nd. Bring a side dish or dessert; the Club will furnish Bar-B-Que. The dinner will be held at the covered group pavilion at Pine Creek campground just above the dam. This is the smaller of the covered shelters and should not be confused with the large one that we have used in past years. We will start eating at 6:00 p.m. A current membership in the Mesilla Valley Flyfishers is required to participate in this outing, so please check your membership status in advance of the trip. A "Sign Up Sheet" will be established just so that the Club will have an idea of the number planning to participate. There is no cutoff date for signing up.
We will all meet at the small covered table at Texas Hole parking on the morning of the 2nd so that those who have never fished the San Juan, and are not using one of the guides, can be paired with someone more experienced.
