The Mesilla Valley Iris Society
(MVIS) held its annual show in April at the Ramada Palm Resort and Convention
Center, 201 E. University,
The 2011 show exhibited over a 100 beautiful irises brought in by MVIS members and the public. The judges were impressed with the grooming and general quality. The majority of the irises were the “queens” of the iris world – the tall bearded. Tall bearded blossoms can reach 7 inches in length. There were many arilbreds and medians due to the early date. There were even seedlings.
