Basil
Description:
Used for menstrual cramps, decreasing the severity of labor pains, colic, diarrhea, earaches, appetite stimulant, increase milk in nursing mothers, nausea and headaches. Plants are used to ward off evil, and also carried for protection against evil

Bee Balm
Description: Herbaceous perennial with soft fuzzy leaves with sweet odor similar to a cross between a mint and a basil. Red flowers.
Used for treatment of common cold, allergies, digestive ailments, sore throat, disinfectant, anesthetic, induces sweating.
Catnip

                   Description:  Nervine & carminative.  Used to
                    treat digestive upsets caused by 
                    nerves, especially in children, for fevers, colic
                    & nausea.  Also an excellent
                    evening tea.  Cats love it too!

                   Echinacea
Description: 1-5 ft tall with lance shaped leaves with toothed margins. Flowers are similar to black-eyed susans and range from purple to white.
Used as a blood purifier, antibiotic, antiviral, and immune system stimulant
German Chamomile
Description: Compact plant with fernlike green leaves and tiny white daisy like flowers with fresh, sweet, apple like scent. Used as a tea for soothing and calming the nerves, upset stomach, cooling burning eyes or skin, menstrual cramps, easing childbirth, sedative, colic, cold, flu, fever, insomnia, hemorrhoids, steeped with olive oil to use as ear drops to relieve ear pain.
Fennel
Description: Grows 4-5 ft tall with bright green, shiny smooth stems and feathery fernlike leaves. Bright yellow umbrella shaped flowers.
Used to soothe the stomach and intestines, relieve flatulence, menstrual cramps, expel worms, sweeten the breath, gargle, eyewash, increase milk production in nursing mothers, as a poultice to relieve swelling in breasts of nursing mothers. It is considered mildly and gently calmative, and the seeds are a hunger suppressant.
