Ronald Reagan, the 40th president of the United States, has died at the
age of 93.
President Reagan was born in Tampico, Illinois on February 6, 1911.
He was a radio sports announcer for the Chicago
Cubs, was a well-loved actor, and served the United States as President.
As President, he transformed American politics with his conservative beliefs
and helped bring about the fall of communism. The oldest President to have
ever served in the history of our nation, he was also the first to win
reelection in thirty years. He passed away on Saturday, June 5, 2004, at
the age of 93, after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's disease.
