     Oasis Mobile Home and RV Park is a quiet, well located mobile home park. Convenient to shopping areas, schools, city parks, and the Alamogordo's Senior Citizen Center. Also, for our residents without laundry equipment, we have an onsite laundromat.

     Welcome to Beautiful and Historic Southern New Mexico. As your host we would like to invite you to visit some of our local attractions located within just a few miles of Oasis Mobile Home and RV Park.

White Sands National Monument - Over 300 square miles of pure white gypsum. 
Located 17 miles southwest of Oasis Mobile Home Park.
The visitor center is open from 8 am - 5 pm daily. The scenic drive area and picnic area opens to the public at 7 am, and closes 1 hour after sunset. Enjoy a Ranger guided evening tour beginning 1 hour before sunset.
Admission is $3.00 per Adult, 16 yrs and younger FREE

Desert Lakes Golf Course - 18 hole course (walkable or rideable)
Only 6 miles south of Oasis Mobile Home and RV Park.
Open daily from dawn to dusk. (Closed Christmas)
Cost - 18 Holes for only $15.50. Carts are available for an additional $18.00 for 18 holes.

International Space Hall of Fame - Tombaugh Imax Theater (Space Center)
Located 3 miles east of Oasis Mobile Home and RV Park.
Est. in 1976 to honor those pioneers of space and space travel. (At his time the ISHF has 133 inductees)
New Mexico's only IMAX dome theater.
Open daily from  9 am to 5 pm. (Closed Christmas)
Cost: $2.50 to ISHF

Lincoln National Forest - 1,103,441 acres, covering parts of four counties and three ranger districts 
Sacramento Ranger District invites the hikers to the system of rails-to-trails and train depot at the Trestle Recreation area to learn about the history of the "Cloud Climbing Railroad" that facilitated timber harvest at the turn of the century. Wildlife is abundant. Deer, elk, turkey, quail, bear and many types of birds (including the Mexican Spotted Owl of the Endangered Species Act fame) and small animals live on the Forest.  The deer hunt attracts the largest number of hunters of any in the state of NM. Birthplace of Smokey Bear.  In 1950, a black bear cub was rescued from the Capitan Gap fire.  The singed and frightened cub was nicknamed "Smokey" by the firefighters.  After being nursed back to health, he was flown to Washington, D.C. to reside in the National Zoo as "Smokey Bear". Four hundred miles of trails, two ski resorts, photography, fuel wood gathering, Christmas tree harvesting, and interpretive programs on trails.

Indian Gaming - Inn of the Mountain Gods Resort and Casino and Casino Apache
There are 2 Casinos on the Apache Indian Reservation near Ruidoso. Both are appx. 50 miles from Oasis Mobile Home and RV Park.

Ski Apache
Located 65 miles North of Oasis Mobile Home Park. 
Ski Apache / Sierra Blanca is located within the Mescalero Apache Reservation.
Open during ski season from 9 am - 4 pm.
Tickets for the 2000 season are $40.00 per person
Group rates are available for groups of 25 or more.

Old Mexico - Our Neighbor to the South
Sister city to El Paso, Texas, CD Juarez, Mexico is appx. 90 miles from Oasis Mobile Home and RV Park.
Visit the Old town market or play at the Greyhound Racetrack.
El Paso offers 3 bridges across the Rio Grande River where you can either walk across or drive into Juarez. There are small fees to cross some of the bridges. (under $1.00)
