Announcements/Public Participation
- Rio
Grande Riparian Ecological Corridor Project Comprehensive Plan was adopted
by City Council on May 17.
- Ribbon
cutting ceremony for La Llorona path extension and the Rio corridor comp
plan will be held June 18 at La Llorona park.
- CLC
strategic plan Natural Resources committee will be having a public forum
on June 3.
- Town
of Mesilla Comp Plan has been reviewed by Planning, Zoning, and Historical
appropriateness board; next public hearing will be June 2nd.
- MPO
trail plan meeting—to talk about upcoming update of plan: Wed, June 23, 10
AM, City Office Ctr. Conference room

Draft Vision model presentation feedback:
- reference
to very specific sites helps engage audience
- connectivity/synergy
ideas very important—should be emphasized and not rushed; think about
synonyms.
- “Land
tenure decisions” needs to be explained more clearly—removing disposal
status.
- Clarify
status of state and private inholdings within large BLM tracts.
- Should
there be a connection between Robledos and Potrillos?
- Key
words: community building, equity, and sustainable development
- Include
examples of places where such systems have been created: maybe as fact
sheets?
- Key
concept: long-range land-use planning—should be emphasized right up
front. Also green infrastructure,
hot topic in planning.

Draft Vision ready for outreach/feedback campaign

September 15 (summer break to let CTF concentrate on Draft Vision outreach)
