Mark Bolinger

The owner of Outdoor Adventures is Mark Bolinger.

Mark was born in Pateros, WA in 1963. After many moves to different places in the Western States (his father was an Air Force fighter pilot), his family settled in Alamogordo, NM where he graduated from high school in 1981.

Shortly after marrying his wife Susan in August of 1985, Mark started working at Outdoor Adventures as a bicycle mechanic. He was soon promoted to service manager. When the owner opened a second store in Santa Fe, NM, the summer of 1988, Mark became the store manager of Santa Fe Schwinn. After 6 successful years as manager, Mark had the opportunity to return to Alamogordo and manage Outdoor Adventures where it all started.

When he was presented with an offer to purchase the store he jumped at the chance to become "his own boss". It was something he wanted for a long time and with 14 years of experience he knows his business.

Mark enjoys biking in local races and climbing in his free time. He is also very active in the community through Boy Scouts. You are not likely to find a more knowledgeable person concerning biking, climbing and camping in the area.
