Is life a gift?
Tell me, cause I really want to know.
Seems like all I do is drift,
Never really knowing where to go,
Trying to survive,
Trying to live,
Trying to stay ahead of the pain,
Never understanding what there was to gain.
There is bound to be a reason,
There is bound to be some time
There has got to be a season
There has got to be some rhyme?
Chasing after rainbows
Never seems to end
Going where the wind blows
Without learning to bend
Watching behind me
Tripping over today
Never learning to see
There’s got to be a better way.
I want to wake up each day
Knowing why I’m here
Having a purpose and knowing the way
Living in delight without fear.
